The Border Land School Division recognizes the importance of safe student transportation. The requirements and prohibitions as stated in the School Bus Drivers Handbook and The Professional Drivers Manual shall be duly followed.

 

In addition, the following requirements apply:

 

  • Operate the school bus over such routes, and on the days and times, as required by the Board.
  • Completing all reports and forms as requested.
  • No towing or being towed when students are on the bus.
  • Refuelling buses only when free of passengers.

 

School Bus Daily Inspection

 

Bus drivers shall be required to complete a bus inspection before and after completion of each regular route.  These inspections shall be completed in accordance with the guidelines as laid out in the Bus Drivers’ Handbook
