Border Land School Division believes that healthy eating habits are important if a child is to develop to his/her fullest potential.  The Division believes that the food and beverages sold in schools should be nutritious.

 

 

Nutrition

 

  • All schools shall develop a Nutrition Policy.
  • Schools shall include their nutrition policy as part of their annual school plan.
  • Canteens and vending machines will sell only items from the Foods to Serve Most Often or Foods to Serve Sometimes lists. – Manitoba School and Nutrition Handbook
  • All foods and beverages sold in schools for fund-raising purposes shall be nutritious.
  • Food and beverages at classroom parties and special events should, whenever possible, be nutritious.
 

Border Land School Division
