It is the intent of Border Land School Division to recognize significant events of Board members and staff, and schools.  These events may be of a corporate or private nature.  In order to acknowledge these events, an
appropriate response will be forthcoming from the Division.           

Procedure

  • In the event of the birth or adoption of a child, the Division will send an appropriate response with our congratulations.
  • In the event of a death of spouse or significant other, child, parent or parent in-law, the Division will send an appropriate response expressing our sympathy.
  • For serious illness and extended hospitalization greater then three days, the Division will send an appropriate response of well wishes.
  • The Board and Divisional Administration may also use the Divisional cards for other school and/or individual or team accomplishments.

 

Response to Significant Life and School Events

 

  • Birth or adoption of a child: $15-25               
  • Death of a spouse or significant other, child, parent, or parent in-law: $30-75
  • Serious illness and extended hospitalization greater than three days: $25-50
