The Border Land School Division recognizes the educational value of student travel.  It is the desire of the Division to encourage and support student travel, provided the learning experiences are an integral part of the instructional program.  Trips must properly provide for the cognitive, affective, and/or psychomotor development of students.  The planned activities must constitute a reasonable and effective means of extending school learning, student knowledge, and understanding.
Reasonable efforts shall be made to accommodate the needs of all students for travel activities.

Planning is a vital component of all student travel.  All plans shall be implemented in accordance with MAST guidelines. Board approval is required for all extended student travel.

Border Land School Division

Border Land School Division acknowledges that the communities and schools located within Border Land School Division sit on Treaty 1 and Treaty 3 land, the original lands of the Anishinaabe peoples and on the homeland of the Métis Nation.

Border Land School Division respects the treaties that were made on these treaty areas and we dedicate ourselves to moving forward in partnership with our Indigenous communities in a spirit of truth, reconciliation and collaboration.
