Speech-Language Pathology

Speech-Language Pathology

School division speech-language pathologists (SLP) work with students to help them speak better and understand what is happening in the classroom.

School division speech-language pathologists help students…

  • talk so that others understand what they say
  • learn what words mean (increase vocabulary)
  • put words in the right order
  • follow directions
  • know what to say to others (social skills)
  • when their voice sounds different
  • when they stutter

The speech-language pathologist trains EAs to work with the students and checks in each month to keep the work on track.
