NOTICE OF NOMINATIONS
BORDER LAND SCHOOL DIVISION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the following days: September 16th, 17th, 18th, 21st and 22nd, 2026
between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm at the following location:
Border Land School Division Office, 120 9th St NW, Altona MB
I or my Assistant S.E.O. will receive nominations for the office of TRUSTEE FOR THE FOLLOWING WARDS:
Ward 1 – Sprague, Piney and Buffalo Point First Nation area – One (1) to be elected
Ward 2 – Vita, Stuartburn and Sundown area – One (1) to be elected
Ward 3 – Emerson, Ridgeville, Tolstoi. Dominion City, Arnaud,
Rosa. Woodmore and Roseau River Anishinaabe
First Nation area – Two (2) to be elected
Ward 4 – Altona, Gnadenfeld, Neubergthal. Rosenfeld, Horndean, Lettelier,
St. Joseph. Gretna, Rosetown, Halbstadt and Sommerfeld area –
Five (5) to be elected
of the aforesaid Local Authority.
The nomination deadline is Tuesday, September 22nd at 4:30 pm. Nominations cannot be accepted after this day.
All nominations shall be made in writing and shall be signed by at least twenty-five voters, or NOT less than 1% of the voters (whichever is the lesser) of the authority or ward (as the case may be), but in all cases by at least two voters. Each nomination shall also be accompanied by the candidate’s declaration of qualification.
Nominations may be filed in person at the above locations, on the date and hours specified, by an official agent, or by fax. To obtain a nomination paper, and/or candidate’s declaration of qualification, contact the S.E.O. at the telephone number listed below or at the Border Land School Division Office in Altona.
Nomination papers not accompanied by the required documents and not properly filed shall be rejected.
