Gretna Elementary School - I Love to Read Month

Gretna School is into I Love to Read month and there are many activities taking place throughout the month. We have many guest readers coming to the school to share their favourite books with our students. We also have DEAR time (Drop Everything And Read) scheduled each week. Over the first week of February students brought in books they no longer needed and we will be having a book exchange where students can pick a couple books to take home and add to their library. This is always a great event and students are excited to have some new reading to take home. We will be finishing the month with our annual book fair. Students will receive a $5.00 coupon from the school that they can use towards a purchase of a book from the book fair or use it on a Scholastic book order by the end of June. IT has been a great month to date with lots of excitement in the building.

Next month we will be celebrating math with some Math month activities and games.
