Border Land School Division believes that Advisory Councils:

  • Are important parts of our school system.
  • Are important links to the community.
  • Serve in an advisory capacity to the principal of the school.

An annual Board / Advisory Council / Principal meeting will be planned each year.

The Superintendent and the local trustee/s will attempt to meet once a year with individual Advisory Councils and the school principal.

Requests for information or trustee attendance at regular Advisory Council meetings will be made to the Superintendent and not to the local trustee.  Trustees should not attend regular Advisory Council meetings unless specifically requested to do so by the Superintendent.
