Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a full-time permanent position as a Truck & Transport Mechanic working at the Divisional Bus Garage located in Dominion City, MB.  The BLSD Bus Garage is responsible for the maintenance of a fleet of vehicles and school buses in excess of fifty-five units.  This full-time position will commence as soon as possible.  Our team of Mechanics work 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 12 months of the year.  We are looking for candidates with knowledge of diagnostic tools, computers, and the ability to complete all paperwork (includes but not limited to ordering, inventory maintenance, purchase orders, work order and fleet maintenance records).  The successful candidate must be able to provide their own hand tools.  


Qualifications and Experience:

  1.   Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
  2.   Must have or be willing to obtain a Class 2 License with School Bus Certification
  3.   Must have or be willing to obtain a Truck Transport Certification
  4.   Preference will be given to those with experience working on school buses
  5.   Preference will be given to those with a valid certification to perform safety inspections on school buses


Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for these positions is in accordance with the Border Land School Division Support Staff Compensation Agreement and the Agreement between Border Land School Division and Mechanics.
