Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a term full-time Workplace Safety & Health Coordinator position responsible for all locations in the Border Land School Division (from Altona to Sprague), however will be based out of Altona, MB.  The term for this position will begin as soon as possible and conclude June 30, 2022, with the possibility for long term employment.  The responsibilities of the incumbent include but are not limited to:  managing the Workplace Safety and Health program in order to train staff, reduce and eliminate workplace injuries, ensure compliance with provincial legislation and guidelines, conduct investigation and review all accidents/incidents, participate on the Workplace Safety & Health Committee, COVID-19 rapid test supervision, and other duties as assigned based on the strengths of the selected candidate.  


Qualifications and Experience:

  1.  Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  2.  Minimum three years of related experience
  3.  Post-secondary education in Workplace Safety & Health, is considered an asset


Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for these positions is in accordance with the Border Land School Division Support Staff Compensation Agreement and the Agreement between Border Land School Division and Health & Safety Coordinator.
