Term F.I. Smart Start Teacher

Particulars:

The successful candidate will retain a 0.05 FTE (5%) term French Immersion Smart Start teaching position at École Elmwood School.  Elmwood is a Kindergarten-Grade 3 school with approximately 270 students located in Altona, Manitoba.  Smart Start is a program designed to assist Kindergarten students. This term teaching position will run twenty half days, from January 18 to March 26, 2021.  The ability to build positive relationships with students, effectively manage a classroom environment and develop exceptional rapport with colleagues is essential.  Previous experience teaching the Smart Start programming is considered an asset.  This position will remain open for applications until it is filled. 


Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
  2. The ability to speak, read and write in French
  3. Preference will be given to a teacher with related teaching experience


Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the collective agreement between Border Land School Division and the Border Land Teachers’ Association of the Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
