Particulars:
The successful candidate will retain a 1.0 FTE (100%) full-time term position as a Grade 6 Classroom Teacher at Gretna Elementary School. Located in Gretna, MB, Gretna Elementary is a K – 8 school with 135 students. This term position will commence January 5, 2026 and conclude June 30, 2026. Subjects to be taught include, but are not limited to: Grade 6 Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, Health, Art & Grade 8 Social Studies. Background and experience in teaching middle years is considered an asset for this position. We are looking for candidates who can work as an effective team member and has the ability to connect with diverse groups of students. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who are self-motivated and are willing to learn and implement best teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate
- Preference will be given to a teacher with related teaching experience
Salary and Benefits:
The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the 2022-2026 Provincial Teachers’ Collective Agreement between Manitoba School Boards Association and Manitoba Teachers’ Society.
