  1. We are finding too much garbage in the hallways after the lunch hour.  Please clean up after yourselves.

  2. A reminder to students that by law vaping is banned in all public spaces including schools.  

  3. The winners of the Grade 9 agenda book draw are Wafaa Abukhousa and Ava Apperley.  Please stop by the office to pick up your prize.

  4. We need a few more volunteers for Elmwood's Skittle day on Friday afternoon.  If you are interested in helping out please see Ms. Tonna.

  5. Attention! Grade 9 Students: W.C. Miller Student Council is looking for 2 new members!  Fill in a nomination form in the office by Friday, Sept. 21st.  If you have any questions, please talk to Jossie Yan anytime.

  6. Do you have a spare you would like to fill this semester? Are you in grade 11 or 12? Do you have a subject area that you excel in? If so, let Ms. Tonna know ASAP and she will try to match you up as an in-class peer tutor… and you can earn a credit!

  7. There will be Problems of the week again this year. It's your chance to test your creative problem solving skills for the chance of winning a free lunch. Last week's winner was Carissa DiMarco. This week's problem is a word puzzle about clothes. 

  8. The Intramural Indoor Soccer sign-up sheet is on the sports bulletin.  You have until Friday, Sept 21st to sign up. 

  9. The Miller Writing Club meets today Wednesday, September 19th at 3:30 NOT at 12:15 as earlier stated in Ms. Thiessen's room (207).

  10. Miller T-Shirts are for sale in the office!! T-Shirts are $10./each.  You can pay by cheque, cash or by debit!

  11. Attention band students:  Jazz Band auditions will start this week and run until Sept. 21 - please pick up the audition material in the band room or find it on the band website, and sign up for an audition time on the band room door. Talk to Mr. Klassen if there are any questions!
